I had a wonderful three-night stay at Drakes Hotel, enjoying the spotless room and luxurious bath amenities. The only downside was the wet room design that left the toilet soaking after showers, which was slightly inconvenient. Overall, I appreciated the attentive staff and good dining experience, especially at breakfast.
Rooms
8.0
My room was beautifully clean and stylishly designed, featuring top-class bedding and lovely toiletries. However, the wet room design meant the toilet often got wet after I showered, which made it less practical.

The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay nice. They provided helpful tips for exploring Brighton and were very accommodating with my requests.

I had a lovely breakfast each morning, though I wish I had pre-booked dinner for all three nights—dining at the hotel was definitely a highlight with the delicious meals made from local ingredients.
Facilities

The hotel offered great facilities like complimentary snacks and drinks, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. However, having a mini-fridge in the room would have been a nice touch for drinks.

6.6/10
I recently stayed at Drakes Hotel and had a very mixed experience. The sea views from my room were amazing and the staff were exceptionally friendly! However, I encountered several issues including noise from the busy street, which made it difficult to sleep. The décor seemed dated and in need of refurbishment, which was disappointing given the price I paid. Overall, while it had potential, I left feeling that it could use some updates. 🌊🛏️

The room had an amazing view and a large bed, but the furnishings were dated and not very inviting. I struggled with the noise from the street, and the layout wasn't the most practical.

Located right on the seafront, the hotel was perfectly positioned for exploring Brighton. However, the noise from the main road was a downside.
Dining

I found the dining options limited and somewhat overpriced. Breakfast was nice, but I expected more variety and better quality overall.
Facilities

While the hotel offered nice amenities like room service, the overall condition of the hotel could be improved. The lack of soundproofing and dated furniture was a letdown.

I had a pleasant stay at Drakes Hotel, especially enjoying the stunning sea views and comfortable room. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring I felt well taken care of. However, I did find that the room needed some updates and the noise from the main road was a bit distracting. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. 😊

My room was stylishly designed with unique features, although it did feel a bit compact and could use some refreshing. The original sash windows were beautiful but let in some noise from the street.

I enjoyed my stay at Drakes, which offered stunning sea views and stylishly designed rooms. However, the noise from the busy street was quite disruptive, especially for those of us not used to city chaos. The unique bathroom setup was a bit problematic, too, as it led to water everywhere after taking a shower.
Rooms
6.0
My room was bright and airy, featuring trendy decor and an interesting bath by the window. Unfortunately, the wet room was poorly designed, and I often ended up soaking everything in the bathroom after a shower (including the toilet paper).
Service
9.0
The staff were fantastic and very welcoming, always ready to help. They provided excellent service, making me feel valued throughout my stay.
Location
7.0
The location across from the promenade is superb, with easy access to attractions like the pier and local shops. However, the noise from the busy road was quite evident, especially since my room faced the front.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was delicious (especially appreciated the option for room service!), but I found the restriction on ordering certain items a bit disappointing. The dining experience in the restaurant was high quality, showcasing local ingredients.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel provided convenient parking nearby, which was a plus. Though the room had luxurious amenities, the wet room left a lot to be desired in terms of functionality.
